With the TC29D... is there adequate power transmitted to the wheels to do loader work? I have tested a TC29D without a loader and found when I positioned the front end against a stationary object there was not enough power transmitted to spin the wheels. I tried this in all three gear ranges. How much push or pulling power does this tractor have? Would appreciate hearing from anyone that has experience with a TC29D with a loader.

Just took delivery of a TC29D. Turf tires, mostly for mowing, but I decided to get a loader too. (glad I did!) In low range, mine will readily spin all four (well, 3 anyway) wheels when pushing with the loader against a dirt pile. In mid range, it will "nearly" spin, and in high not at all. I think this is probably normal behavior, but of course don't know for sure (g). Maybe someone with more hours will chime in. If the one you tried couldn't spin even in low range, I'd suspect low transmission fluid level. All in all, so far, I'm completely happy with mine. ....

I have had no problem so far with my TC29D, it seems to have all the power I need to do the loader work that I have ask it to do. This is only the second tractor I have used so I am no expert, but I've been happy so far (35hrs). The thing that suprised me was what a differance 4wheel drive makes... ....

I have a TC25D and it will spin all 3 as well in low range (hydrostatic). My problem is I need more weight. Plenty of power. ....

I too have a TC29D hydrostat 4WD that spins the wheels in 1st, and just a bit in 2nd. All I have done so far is about 20 hours of loader and box work and it's great. It just runs all day with no problems. It does what I need for it to do, and well. ....
